Breast Cancer Risk Reduction and Screening Event

This is a past event that took place on October 1, 2025.

Would you like to win a $50 gift card or a fabulous gift basket while enjoying a tasty tostada bar and drinks, including vegan delights? Join us on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at “The Egg” Learning Center for the Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center’s Breast Cancer Risk Reduction and Screening event!

Open to all Veterans within the VA Long Beach Healthcare System. We’ll have engaging mini lectures on breast cancer risk reduction, early screening, nutrition, exercise, smoking cessation, wellness, mental health, and genetic counseling—brought to you by the Women’s Health Program and the Cancer Program.

You can get a screening mammogram if you are due or schedule one for later. This event isn’t just informative; it’s a chance to connect, learn, and take charge of your health. You will also hear powerful stories from breast cancer survivors.

It’s an outdoor celebration of wellness, so bring your hat, sunglasses, and comfy clothes! Mark your calendars, spread the word, and join us for a day dedicated to your well-being!
