Freedom 250 / CMS 5-Star Hospital Celebration

This is a past event that took place on July 2, 2026.

This will be a special dual celebration honoring both our nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary and a significant achievement for our medical center.

As part of our Freedom 250 Celebration, we will also recognize VA Central California’s recent achievement of earning a 5-Star Quality Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the highest rating possible for hospital quality. This distinction reflects our team’s commitment to providing exceptional care and service to the Veterans who have served our nation.

The event will bring together Veterans, employees, community partners, and local leaders for an afternoon of celebration and recognition. Activities will include a formal ceremony, cake, DJ, photo booth, and opportunities to connect with Veterans and community members. The Central California Blood Center mobile unit will also be on site with their Pint for a Pint blood drive.
