Freedom 250 Path to the Future: Leaving No Veteran Behind

This is a past event that took place on June 25, 2026.

Who: The event is being held by the ADVISE ‘EM Council to support the Veterans at the Milwaukee VA. Only Veterans and staff at this VA will attend the event.
What: The purpose of the event is to share information with Veterans to increase access to information about care and building trust in the VA.
When: June 25th, 2026, 1100- 1400
Where: The event being held in the Matousek auditorium at the Milwaukee VA.
Why: Many Veterans have reported only learning about services available to them through conversations with other Veterans which indicates a barrier in accessing services relevant to Veterans. Another barrier is reduced trust in the VA and its ability to support Veterans. This reduction in trust may be based on past experiences or knowledge of others’ negative experiences with the VA. These barriers can contribute to delays in care or access to resources and adversely impact Veterans’ wellbeing. This event hopes to address these barriers through equitable access to information and transparency that can demonstrate the VA’s commitment to serving Veterans through collaborative partnership.
How does this serve Veterans: This event serves Veteran’s through providing an opportunity to learn more about the services available to Veterans at the MKE VA and build trust in the VA’s ability to serve Veterans and commitment to centering Veteran’s voices and needs.
