The internal clinic outreach event is aligned with the OPIA monthly observances calendar, and offers a valuable opportunity for services to: • Showcase the programs and services available to our Veterans. • Engage directly with Veterans to ensure they are aware of resources available to them. • Support VA’s priorities of retention, outreach to unregistered Veterans, and strengthening connections with those already enrolled in VA healthcare. In addition, the Pulmonary Service will hold an educational activity aimed at raising awareness about Lung Cancer, promoting early detection, and providing support and care coordination to those affected by the disease. The event will offer educational material, one-to-one orientations, and screenings for enrollment.
