Women Veterans Galentine's Day Get-Together Celebration at the Monroeville VA Outpatient Clinic

This year, the VA Pittsburgh Women’s Health and Public Affairs Teams openly invite and welcome women Veterans and service members from the Greater Pittsburgh Region to the Henry Parham VA Outpatient Clinic in Monroeville, PA to highlight the facilities, programs, and services provided by the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System while expressing gratitude to current patients, inviting back those who wish to re-engage in services, and introducing new Veterans to establish their care with the VA.

These truly unique events offer the women a chance to meet VA staff and team members, familiarize themselves with the facilities, experience some of the services firsthand including acupuncture, yoga, resistance training, mindfulness practices, virtual reality therapy and enjoy each other’s company while celebrating the special connections among women Veterans. Attendees can reconnect with old friends, forge new friendships, engage in light conversation, savor refreshments, partake in tasty treats, access resources and services, ask questions at the information tables, and create some uplifting take homes at the creation stations. (Food, drink, and treats will be provided by VCS, VAPGHEFCU, VAEA, Mission BBQ, & Texas Roadhouse!)

These gatherings focus on building connections and receiving recognition and appreciation for the extraordinary women warriors they are–those who have served and braved more than most. We want them to know know…Women Veterans, you are seen; you are heard; you matter; you are enough. VA Pittsburgh is here for you!

VA Service Lines and Programs invited to attend include: all aspects of Women’s Health, Whole Health, Women’s Integrative Pain Clinic, VBA, Chaplain Services, Office of Veteran Experience(OVE)/Patient Advocate, VR&E, Community Care, Optometry, Behavioral Health, VA Vocational Services, Research Studies, Center for Development and Civic Engagement (CDCE)(formerly Voluntary Services), Vet Center, Infection Prevention, Physical Therapy, Toxic Exposure Screening, Social Work, and more!
