Compton Stand Down

September 26, 2026

Compton, California

6:00 AM - 6:00 PM Pacific Time

Stand Down events benefit homeless Veterans by providing immediate access to vital services such as health screenings, housing assistance, legal aid, clothing, meals, and connection to benefits—all in one location. These events foster a safe, supportive environment that allows Veterans to engage with VA staff, community organizations, and peers. By addressing immediate needs and facilitating linkages to longer-term support, Stand Downs help reduce barriers to care, promote stability, and support pathways out of homelessness.
